Easy Lace Sweater Crochet Pattern - Autumn Lace Sweater

This is the crochet sweater that was meant to be a sweater, then a cardigan and then finally turned into what it is today. Sometime the designing process isn’t that straight forward. In the end it turned out exactly how i wanted. I share the full desiging story in my vlog here. In this post you will find all the details about this easy lace crochet sweater. This pattern comes with a full video tutorial. The pattern is an easy pattern written in sizes XS - 5X.

Design inspiration
This sweater came by by accident really. I was looking for a lace stitch to add as a detail to another design when I came across the stacked shell stitch. Immediately I feel in love with it and started to work on a cardigan, I thought. The end result is this beautiful Autumn Lace Sweater with a neckline and ribbing making it perfect for the colder months of the year.

About

The Autumn Lace Sweater is worked in two body pieces; a front and a back, and two sleeves. All worked flat in rows. These are then seamed together to make the sweater and a neckline is added to the body.

The sweater in the pictures is a sample sweater made in size L with M sleeves
(with 8” (20 cm) positive ease).

Sizes

Note! The measurements below are the measurements of the final garment size (after blocking).

Size modifications

Length of the sweater: Make more or less rows when working the body before the shoulders.

Sleeves: The length you easily adjust by making more or less rows. Try it on to see what you prefer! The width you can adjust by making either another size sleeve than body (i.e. L sleeves for and M sweater) . You also need to leave that  amount of stitches unworked when sewing the sides together. Eg. if you want L size sleeve to the M size sweater mark the stitches accordingly (see section about sewing instructions.)
