Free Crochet Pattern - Lime Berry Scarf

 

I want to share the joy of crocheting with as many of you a possible. So I decided to share the Lime Berry Scarf pattern as a free pattern with you.

It is the perfect beginner project and you’ll have yourself a nice scarf in no time. It is also the perfect DIY Christmas present and a gift enjoyed by many.

Introduction

The Lime Berry Scarf is part of the Lime Berry collection. Don’t forget to check out the other projects in the collection including the Lime Berry Tee and the upcoming Lime Berry Cardigan.

 

Measurements

15 cm / 6” wide. Length as according to preferences. Recommended is at least 140 cm /55” long.

 

Recommended Yarn

4 skeins Paintbox Yarns DK cotton.

 

Crochet hook size

 3.5 mm / E-4

Tapestry Needle

Abbreviations

Ch = Chain

Sts = Stitches

DC = Double crochet

 

Gauge (10x10cm /4”x4”): 20 DC across , 9 rows in height.
(The height isn’t as important here as for a garment).

Pattern

 

Begin by chaining 33

 

Row 1: DC in third chain from the hook. DC across row. Chain 2. Turn. 31 sts.

 

Row 2: DC *ch 1, skip next st, DC, ch 1, skip next st, 7 DC* repeat for a total of 3 times. Ch 2. Turn. 31 sts.

 

Row 3:  8 DC *ch 1, skip next st, 9 DC* repeat for a total of 2times. Ch 1, skip next st, 2 DC. Ch 2. Turn. 31 sts.

 

Row 4-5: DC across row. Ch 2. Turn. 31 sts. 

 

Row 6: *7 DC, ch 1, skip next st, DC, ch 1, skip next st* repeat for a total of 3 times. DC, Ch 2. Turn. 31 sts.


Row 7: 2 DC *ch 1, skip next st, 9 DC* repeat for a total of 2 times. Ch 1, skip next st, 8 DC. Ch 2. Turn. 31 sts.


Row 8-9: DC across row. Ch 2. Turn. 31 sts. 

 

Continue

Row 10 - Repeat row 2-9 until it has reached your preferred length (recommended to be at least 140 cm / 55” = 128 rows. (Your last row should be a row 8).
